François VIEL has been working in the agricultural sector for forty years, holding various positions in France and abroad. Since December 2023, he has been serving at the Embassy of France in Warsaw as the Agricultural Counselor for the region covering Poland, Slovakia, Czechia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

The role of the agricultural counselor is to promote French agricultural policy and identify areas of cooperation of mutual interest, support French enterprises, and monitor current events, regulations, and agricultural policies in the region.

Previously, he applied his expertise in multiple fields, including forestry, fisheries, and aquaculture. He has also dealt with sanitary, phytosanitary, and financial matters, conducted audits of ministerial policies, and represented the Ministry of Agriculture at the French Embassies in Hungary, Russia, and Turkey.

On behalf of France, he also served as an advisor to the **Minister of Agriculture of Georgia in Tbilisi**.

He is a graduate of **philosophy and law** and an alumnus of the prestigious National School of Administration (ENA - École Nationale d’Administration).
